1/13/25 : Today at the Complex - HP Camp - Day One

Approximately seventy players began the 2025 minor league training season this morning with the initial workouts for Winter High Performance (HP) Camp at Carpenter Complex in Clearwater along with rehabilitation work for players continuing their return from injuries/surgeries.

Camp began with meetings followed by medical tests and stretching. Players were out on the field at around 9:30 AM for warmups and their initial throwing programs (flat ground catch and tosses). They concluded the day with indoor cage work (hitters) and weight room training.

Players are divided into work groups (pitchers and position players separated into multiple squads) and they move thru their schedules throughout the complex (both on the fields & in the Montgomery Training Center building) to do their work. Like every Phillies camp it’s a well organized and timely process.

A concurrent HP Camp also opened today at the Dominican Academy with approximately sixty players participating.

Big League early arrivals :

As previously mentioned both JT Realmuto and Aaron Nola have been working at the complex since mid December - saw them both today - Aaron has such an easy going persona - said hello to him as he walked back to the Montgomery Center.  LHP Matt Strahm is also here for early work as is Catcher Rafael Marchan.

Was good to see the fellas back on the fields and the mitts a poppin!

Happy Day, Happy Baseball ⚾️
