As posted on his instagram account infielder Weston Wilson has signed with the Phillies. He was the Brewers 17th round draft choice in the 2016 draft from Clemson University. Weston is 28 years old and is primarily a third baseman although he’s also played every position in the field except catcher.
Last year with AAA level Nashville he posted a .228/.297/.358 slash line with a .655 OPS in 462 PA’s with 21 doubles, 11 home runs and 54 RBIs. Over his seven year career minor league career he’s posted a .256/.329/.423 slash line in 2,410 PA’s with a .752 OPS - he’s hit 72 home runs and driven in 303 runs.
Wilson has not been added to the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs roster yet but presumably will be soon.
From a fan’s view welcome to the organization Weston !
