Australia Winter League :
The Phillies contingent plays for the Adelaide Giants.
12/29/24 action :
Perth 4 (13-15) Adelaide 3 (16-12)
Diego Gonzalez (3B) went 1 for 4 (single) and Lou Albrecht (C) 1 for 3 with a single, walk and run scored. Former Phillies minor league center fielder Jared Carr was 2 for 4 (single & double) with an RBI, Nick Ward (LF) was 1 for 4 with a double and run scored. Former Phillies minor league first baseman Rixon Wingrove was 1 for 4 with a single while Nikau Pouaka Grego went hitless in four at bats. There are three more weeks (rounds) of regular season play.
Colombia Winter League :
12/28/24 action : Nolan Beltran (2B) was 0 for 3 with a walk for Tigres de Cartagena in a 2-1 win over Caimenes de Barranquilla in the final week of regular season play.
Panama Winter League :
12/28/24 action : the scheduled opening game of the semi-final playoff round was rained out. Eduardo Tait won the regular season batting title with a .386 batting average (27 for 70). The playoff series will open today with the Águilas Metropolitanas facing the Federales de Chiriquí in a best of three series.
Mexican Pacific League :
12/28/24 action : former Phillies minor league infielder Jorge Flores (SS) was 3 for 5 (singles) with three runs scored for Algodoneros de Guasave in a 9-6 win against Mayos de Navojoa. Luis Verdugo (SS) went 1 for 3 (single) with two runs scored for Tomateros de Culiacán in a 10-4 victory over Cañeros de Los Mochis. Former Phillies minor league first baseman Kyle Martin homered in the game and had two RBIs for the Caneros. This is the last week of regular season play.
Dominican Winter League :
12/28/24 action : Jean Segura (former Phillies second baseman) went 3 for 4 (singles) with two RBIs and two runs scored as Leones del Escogido clinched the final playoff spot with a 8-2 win over Gigantes del Cibao. Johan Rojas (CF) was 0 for 4 with a run scored for the Gigantes. Former Phillies minor league RHP Franklyn Kilome pitched two scoreless innings for Toros del Este in a 2-1 loss to Tigres del Licey.
Puerto Rico Winter League :
12/28/24 action : RHP Carlos Francisco pitched a scoreless inning of relief (1 H, 1 K) for Indios de Mayaguez in a 1-0 loss to Criollos de Caguas. Former Phillies minor league infielder Vimael Machin was 3 for 4 with a home run for the Criollos. Former Phillies minor league outfielder Cornelius Randolph went 2 for 4 with a walk for Senadores de San Juan in a 8-4 loss to Leones de Ponce.
Nicaragua Winter League :
12/28/24 action : Raul Rivas (former Phillies minor league infielder) went 1 for 5 (single) with an RBI for Indios del Boer (2-3) in a 14-1 round robin playoff victory over Tren del Norte (1-4). Former Phillies minor league outfielder Jiandido Tromp was 1 for 4 (single) with a walk, two runs scored and an RBI for the Leones de Leon (5-0) in a 14-1 round robin playoff win against Tigres de Chinandega (2-3).
Venezuela Winter League :
12/28/24 action : former Phillies outfielder Simon Muzziotti went 2 for 4 (singles) with an RBI for Aguilas del Zulia (0-1) in a 4-2 round robin playoff game loss to Cardenales de Lara (2-0). Former Phillies minor league infielder Ali Castillo was 2 for 5 (singles) for the Aguilas in the game playing first base. Former Phillies minor league outfielder Herlis Rodriquez went 1 for 3 (double) with two walks, two runs scored and two RBIs for Bravos de Margarita (2-0) in a 12-5 round robin playoff win against Navegantes del Magallanes (0-2). Leandro Pineda walked in a pinch hitting appearance for the Navegantes.
