Dominican Winter League :
12/6/24 action : former Phillies minor league RHP Joel Cesar struck out all four batters he faced in relief work for Gigantes del Cibao in a 2-1 loss to Estrellas Orientales. Center fielder Johan Rojas walked once in four plate appearances and stole his 9th base of the season for the Gigantes. Former Phillies minor league infielder Jonathan Guzman was 2 for 4 (single & double) with two RBIs for Leones del Escogido in a 6-1 win against Toros del Este.
Australian Baseball League :
The Phillies contingent plays for the Adelaide Giants.
12/6/24 : doubleheader
Game One : Adelaide 6 (8-7) Brisbane 5 (3-11)
Former Phillies minor league infielder Nick Ward went 3 for 4 with a run scored. Second baseman Trent Farquhar was 1 for 4 and catcher Luis Caicuto walked once in three plate appearances and posted an RBI. RHP Estibenzon Jimenez pitched 1.2 scoreless innings (0 H, 1 BB, 4 K’s - 26 pitches - 17 strikes) to close out the win.
Game Two : Brisbane 3 (4-11) Adelaide 0 (8-8)
LHP Matt Osterberg went four innings (2 R, 6 H, 1 BB, 3 K’s - 75 pitches - 52 strikes). DH Trent Farquhar was 1 for 4 with a double. Second baseman Nikau Pouaka-Grego walked once in three plate appearances.
Mexican Winter League :
12/6/24 action : former Phillies RHP Fernando Salas threw a scoreless inning for Naranjeros de Hermosillo in a 6-2 win over Tomateros de Culiacán. The 39 year old has previously pitched in the major leagues with five different organizations.
Venezuela Winter League :
12/6/24 action : former Phillies minor league outfielder Herlis Rodriguez went 3 for 6 (two singles & double) for Caribes de Anzoategui in a 17-8 loss to Tiburones de La Guaira. Former Phillies shortstop Freddy Galvis went 2 for 4 (single & double) for Aguilas del Zulia in a 3-1 win over Tigres de Aragua. Former Phillies center fielder Odubel Herrera was 2 for 4 in the game for the Tigres. Former Phillies minor league first baseman Aldrem Corredor was 3 for 4 (two singles and double) for Leones del Caracas in a 8-7 win over Navegantes del Magallanes.
Puerto Rico Winter League :
12/6/24 action : former Phillies minor league RHP Alexis Rivero posted his 7th save of the season for Leones de Ponce with a scoreless inning of work (1 H, 1 BB) in a 4-1 victory against Cangrejeros de Santurce.
Panama Winter League :
12/6/24 action : Catcher Eduardo Tait was 2 for 4 for the Aguilas Metropoltanas in a 3-2 win against the Nacionales de Panama.
