2/2/23 : Phillies sign RHP Seth Nightingale

Twenty three year old Seth Nightingale has signed a minor league contract with the Phillies.  He pitched collegiate baseball at the University of Charleston for three seasons and the University of Mount Olive ( NC ) in 2022 appearing in 40 collegiate games - 11 as a starter.

He features a sinker ( 93-95 mph ), cutter ( 85-87 mph ), slider ( 80-83 mph ) and change up ( 85-87 mph ).  Nightingale had a strong showing at Tread Athletics pro day and signed with the Phillies thereafter.
