3/17/25 Minor League Game/Scrimmage Recaps :


Note that some of the runs data in the scrimmages and the other two games include placed runners for situational practices - I listed the runs scored by pitcher but not all of the runs were due to runners who reached base against them - just sayin.


3/17/25 : Intrasquad Scrimmage : 10:00 AM - Roberts Field


Team Two 6 Team One 1


At Bat :


Carson Taylor (1B) had two of Team One’s four hits - he singled and doubled with an RBI. Leandro Pineda (RF) and Luis Verdugo (2B) had the other two hits, each singled. Team Two had six hits - Bryson Ware (3B) had two of them, he doubled and hit a two run home run. Rodolfo Castro (SS) doubled as did Ricardo Rosario (RF). Catcher Alirio Ferrebus and left fielder Hendry Mendez each singled. There were twelve walks (five for Team One and seven for Team Two) in the nine inning game. Castro and catcher Lou Albrecht each walked twice.


On The Hill :

3/17/25 : Two games @ Carpenter complex vs Tigers


Game One : Phillies 8 Tigers 1 (Roberts Field)


At Bat : 8 R, 7 H, 3 BB, 8 K’s


Carson DeMartini (3B) doubled and walked posting three RBIs to lead the offense. Paul McIntosh (catcher) singled and had two RBIs. Pierce Bennett (RF) tripled and had an RBI in two AB’s. Raylin Heredia (DH) tripled. Bryan Rincon (SS), Devin Saltiban (2B) and Cade Fergus (CF) each singled. Fergus had a sacrifice fly RBI. Rincon stole a base.


On The Hill : 1 R, 8 H, 2 BB, 9 K’s


RH Mick Abel - 3 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 1 BB, 3 K’s - 36 pitches - 23 strikes - FB 94-95 mph

RH Max Lazar - 2 IP, 0 R, 3 H, 0 BB, 1 K - 36 pitches - 28 strikes - FB 91-94 mph

RH Koyo Aoyagi - 1 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 0 BB, 3 K’s - 14 pitches - 11 strikes - FB 86-88 mph

Game Two : Phillies 13 Tigers 8 (Ashburn Field)


At Bat : 13 R, 11 H, 6 BB, 10 K’s


Aroon Escobar (2B) continued his hot hitting with a two run home run and a walk in three plate appearances. Dante Nori (CF), Victor Cardoza (CF) and Brady Day (3B) each had two hits. Nori doubled, stole a base and had an RBI. Day also doubled, walked and had an RBI. Left fielder Tjayy Walton tripled and had an RBI. Catcher Kehden Hettiger doubled and posted an RBI. Right fielder Isaias Dipre singled and posted three RBIs. Shortstop Nolan Beltran singled and had an RBI. Catcher Eduardo Tait walked once in three plate appearances and stole a base, the big fella can scoot 👀.  Jorge Julio (DH) walked twice in the contest in four plate appearances.


On The Hill : 8 R, 6 H, 4 BB, 11 K’s


RH Ryan Degges - 3 IP, 3 R, 3 H, 2 BB, 2 K’s - 48 pitches - 33 strikes - FB 90-94 mph

RH Jake Eddington - 3 IP, 5 R, 3 H, 2 BB, 5 K’s - 50 pitches - 29 strikes - FB 92-95 mph

RH Gabriel Barbosa - 2 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 0 BB, 3 K’s - 27 pitches - 16 strikes - FB 89-91 mph

RH Paxton Thompson - 1 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 0 BB, 1 K - 17 pitches - 11 strikes - FB 90-92 mph
