Major League Live BP :
Mick Abel threw a couple frames on Ashburn field facing hitters such as Johan Rojas and Buddy Kennedy. Mick had strong velocity and was consistent within the the zone with the heat, he snapped off a nasty curve ball for a punch out - seemed to have some difficulty landing the slider and change up - overall an encouraging outing in this observer’s view.
Minor League Spring Trainjng Camp at Carpenter Complex :
Side Bullpens : 12 pitchers
Kyler Carmack, Ryan Dromboski, Marcus Morgan, Zack Tukis, Enrique Segura, Sam Highfill, Luis Gonzalez, Danyony Pulido, Cody Stashak, Mitch Neunborn, Erick Ritchie and Luke Gabrysh
Live BP : 1 pitcher
Angel Liranzo
Simulated Scrimmage/Live BP : Ashburn Field
Live BP with a twist - select fielders took their positions in the field for reads off the bat but a full defensive allotment wasn’t fielded. Batters ran when they hit the ball. I watched a few innings before heading up to the stadium for the Grapefruit League game - lefty Mavis Graves threw the ball well, RH Noah Skirrow had good velocity. Dante Nori lined a single to left field against Skirrow - good stuff as Noah is an upper level pitcher and Dante is just in his first full season.
Pitchers : 14
Mavis Graves (2 IP), Micah Ottenbreit (2 IP),Jake Eddington (2 IP), Trey Dillard, Josbel Garcia, Eli Trop, Emmanuel Mejia, Noah Skirrow (2 IP), Ryan Degges (2 IP), AJ Wilson,Titan Hayes, Luis Avila, Brandon Beckel and Josh Hejka
Hitters : 16
Aroon Escobar, Carson DeMartini, Alirio Ferrebus, Carter Mathison, Brady Day, Kehden Hettiger, Nolan Beltran, Bryson Ware, Dante Nori, Griffin Burkholder, Eduardo Tait, Joel Dragoo, Dylan Campbell, Kody Shojinaga, John Spikerman and Eduaro Lopez
