3/20/25 Minor League Game Recaps vs Blue Jays :


Note that some of the runs data in the game recaps may include placed runners for situational practices - I listed the runs scored by pitcher in the “On the Hill” section but not all of the runs may be due to runners who reached base directly against them - just sayin.


Game One : Carpenter Complex - Roberts Field


Phillies 5 Blue Jays 5


At the Bat : 5 R, 10 H, 3 BB, 15 K’s


Devin Saltiban (2B) went 3 for 4 with a single, double, home run and stolen base from the leadoff spot in the order. Troy Schreffler (CF) had two hits (single & two run HR). Cade Fergus was 2 for 2 with a single, double and walk. Bryson Ware (DH) doubled and had an RBI. Jordan Viars (LF) homered. Felix Reyes (1B) singled.


On the Hill : 5 R, 9 H, 4 BB, 7 K’s


RH Aaron Combs - 3 IP, 0 R, 2 H, 1 BB, 3 K’s - 44 pitches - 31 strikes - FB 89-92 mph

RH Luke Gabrysh - 2 IP, 2 R, 3 H, 2 BB, 1 K - 37 pitches - 20 strikes - FB 92-94 mph

RH Chase Hopewell - 1 perfect IP - 5 pitches - 4 strikes - FB 93-94 mph

RH Jose Pena Jr - 1 IP, 1 R, 1 H, 1 BB, 1 K - 18 pitches - 9 strikes - FB 91-94 mph

RH Luke Russo - 2 IP, 2 R, 3 H, 0 BB, 2 K’s - 36 pitches - 20 strikes - FB 91-94 mph


Game Two : Carpenter Complex - Ashburn Field

At the Bat : 3 R, 7 H, 5 BB, 7 K’s


Dante Nori (CF) was 2 for 4 out of the leadoff spot in the order. Nolan Beltran (SS) and Avery Owusu-Asiedu each had two hits. Ricardo Rosario (RF) singled, stole a base and walked twice. The Phillies had no extra base hits in the contest.

Rodolfo Castro (SS) had two hits (single & HR). Carson Taylor (1B) doubled. Justin Crawford (CF) singled, walked, stole a base and had a sacrifice RBI. Otto Kemp (3B), Gabriel Rincones Jr (DH), Rafael Lantigua (2B) and Ethan Wilson (RF) each singled. Lantigua also had a stolen base.


On the Hill : 13 R, 15 H, 5 BB, 12 K’s


RH Jean Cabrera - 3 IP, 6 R, 8 H, 3 BB, 1 K - 52 pitches - 30 strikes - FB 92-95 mph

LH Braeden Fausnaught - 3 IP, 2 R, 2 H, 0 BB, 6 K’s - 37 pitches - 31 strikes - FB 90-93 mph

LH Wesley Moore - 1.1 IP, 2 R, 3 H, 1 BB, 3 K’s - 31 pitches - 20 strikes - FB 91-92 mph

Dylan Campbell (CF) was 2 for 4 (double & HR) with an RBI.  Leandro Pineda (RF), Pierce Bennett (RF) and Hendry Mendez (LF) each hit home runs, Mendez had two RBIs. Trent Farquhar (2B) doubled, walked twice and stole a base from the leadoff spot in the order. Keaton Anthony (1B), Andrick Nava (C) and Luke Davis (C) each singled. Cole Roberts (DH) walked twice and stole a base.


On the Hill : 6 R, 9 H, 5 BB, 9 K’s


RH Griff McGarry - 3 IP, 1 R, 2 H, 2 BB, 5 K’s - 52 pitches - 29 strikes - FB 94-96 mph
