3/22/25 Minor League Game Recaps vs Blue Jays  :


Note that some of the runs data in the game recaps may include placed runners for situational practices - I listed the runs scored by pitcher in the “On the Hill” section but not all of the runs may be due to runners who reached base directly against them - just sayin.


Game One : Carpenter Complex - Roberts Field


Blue Jays 3 Phillies 1


At the Bat : 0 R, 3 H, 3 BB, 11 K’s


Devin Saltiban (2B), Eduardo Lopez (1B) and Dylan Campbell (CF) each singled. Lopez stole a base and Saltiban had the lone RBI.


On the Hill : 3 R, 11 H, 3 BB, 14 K’s


LH Matt Strahm - 1 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 0 BB, 3 K’s - 20 pitches - 14 strikes - FB 90-93 mph

RH Luis Avila - 2 perfect IP - 5 K’s - 26 pitches - 18 strikes - FB 93-97 mph

RH Josh Hejka - 2 IP, 0 R, 3 H, 0 BB, 3 K’s - 27 pitches - 19 strikes - FB 83-84 mph

RH Trey Dillard - 2 IP, 3 R, 4 H, 2 BB, 2 K’s - 37 pitches - 21 strikes - FB 95-97 mph

RH Saul Teran - 2 IP, 0 R, 3 H, 1 BB, 1 K - 36 pitches - 23 strikes - FB 93-95 mph


Game Two : Carpenter Complex - Ashburn Field

At the Bat : 0 R, 4 H, 5 BB, 14 K’s


Eduardo Tait (DH) had two lined singles. Alirio Ferrebus (C) and Brady Day (3B) each had hits, Day’s was a double. He played a very strong game defensively at third base. Dante Nori (CF) walked twice.


On the Hill : 3  R, 6 H, 3 BB, 8 K’s


RH Cam Brown - 2 IP, 1 R, 2 H, 1 BB, 1 K - 42 pitches - 21 strikes - FB 91-95 mph

RH Drew Garrett - 2 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 1 BB, 0 K’s - 37 pitches - 17 strikes - FB 93-95 mph

RH Augusto Calderon - 2 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 0 BB, 3 K’s - 29 pitches - 16 strikes - FB 93-96 mph

RH Eli Trop - 1 perfect IP - 1 K - 10 pitches - 9 strikes - FB 88-90 mph

RH Brandon Beckel - 1 IP, 2 R, 3 H, 1 BB, 1 K - 23 pitches - 14 strikes - FB 92-94 mph

RH Josh Bortka - 1 perfect IP, 2 K’s - 15 pitches - 10 strikes - FB 94 mph

Erick Brito (3B) had the sole hit, a double. Notable that Otto Kemp played LF in the contest.


On the Hill : 4 R, 6 H, 4 BB, 12 K’s


RH Seth Johnson - 3.1 IP, 1 R, 3 H, 3 BB, 3 K’s - 61 pitches - 33 strikes - FB 91-96 mph

RH Devin Sweet - 2/3 IP - retired both batters faced - 2 K’s - 12 pitches - 8 strikes - FB 92-93 mph

RH Alan Rangel - 4 IP, 3 R, 3 H, 1 BB, 6 K’s - 66 pitches - 50 strikes - FB 91-95 mph

RH Nelson Alvarez - 1 perfect IP, 1 K - 13 pitches - 7 strikes - FB 92 mph


Game Four : Dunedin - Field Two


Blue Jays 7 Phillies 3


At the Bat : 3 R, 7 H, 4 BB, 8 K’s


Paul McIntosh (C) had two hits (single & double) with a walk and RBI. Diego Gonzalez (DH) had two hits (singles).  Cade Fergus (CF) homered. Hendry Mendez (LF) and Zach Arnold (1B) each doubled. Bryan Rincon (SS), Fergus and Gonzalez each stole a base.


On the Hill : 7  R, 9 H, 5 BB, 8 K’s


RH Mick Abel - 4 IP, 2 R, 4 H, 0 BB, 6 K’s - 67 pitches - 43 strikes - FB 92-97 mph
