Scoring Summary :
Carson Taylor hit a home run over the right field wall to lead off the bottom of the third inning. Rodolfo Castro singled, went to third on a single by Justin Crawford and scored on a ground out by Otto Kemp. Gabriel Rincones Jr singled to score Crawford.
Garrett Stubbs doubled in the sixth inning and scored on a double by Matt Kroon. Kroon scored on double by Carson Taylor.
SWB scored a run in the seventh inning on two walks and two hit batters.
A walk, throwing error and sacrifice fly scored a run for SWB in the ninth inning. TJ Rumfield then hit a two run home run.

Justin Crawford played left field and Otto Kemp second base - versatility is key to be ready to fill needs. Shortstop Rodolfo Castro made a diving snag on a hard line drive to end the second inning.

FAMILY LEGACY: Justin Crawford becomes the 2nd Crawford namesake to don IronPigs threads. Justin’s second cousin is former ‘Pig J.P. Crawford who played for Lehigh Valley in 2017 & 2018. Justin is the son of former Tampa Bay Rays All-Star Carl Crawford.
DOUBLE DONG DEBUT: Payton Henry made fast friends in a new dugout as he homered twice on Opening Night. It was his first multi-homer game since August 2, 2023 when he went deep twice for Nashville against Durham. It’s the first time in franchise history the ‘Pigs have had a player homer twice on Opening Night.
STARTING ON THE RIGHT FOOT: Friday night’s win marked the fifth consecutive Opening night win for the ‘Pigs. They’ve won on Opening Night every time since 2021, including two walk-offs. It’s the longest winning streak the ‘Pigs have had on Opening Night in franchise history.
