Game Ten Summary : Mets 4 Phillies 0 ( Seven Innings )
New York scored in the fourth inning as Jonathan Villar doubled to plate Jeff McNeil who had singled. Brandon Nimmo singled with the bases loaded to score two more runs.
Nimmo singled to score another run for the Mets in the sixth inning. Tomas Nido scored ... he had tripled with one out in the inning.
On The Hill :
Aaron Nola ( FB 91-95 ) threw three shutout frames before running into trouble in the fourth frame when three runs scored. He pitched five innings total - 3 R, 7 H, 1 BB, 7 K’s - 92 pitches - 59 strikes.
Spencer Howard ( FB 94-98 ) was tagged for one run on two hits and a walk in the sixth inning - he needed 32 pitches to complete the frame. He struck out one batter.
Tip of the cap to the Mets Marcus Stroman - he was excellent for the Mets in tossing a six shutout innings. He allowed just four singles, walked none and struck out three batters.
At The Plate :
Only six hits total for the team ... no extra base hits and no walks.
Defensive Gem :
Bryce Harper made a great diving catch in the fifth inning to rob Jeff McNeil of a hit.
