This morning at Carpenter Complex on Roberts Field the Phillies Extended Spring Training Squad hosted the Canadian Junior National team in a 10 AM game. I was on hand to watch as were multiple scouts and family members of the Canadian team.

The Phillies pitchers dominated the young Canadians shutting them out and holding them to just three hits while posting 19 K’s 😳.

Did Ya Know 🧐 :

Umpires also go thru training on the backfields in extended spring - they use two man crews but in the sixth inning a new crew comes in to replace the original two.  I’ve seen it at each of the XST games I’ve attended.

Happy Day, Happy Baseball ⚾️
