The Phillies XST team hosted the Tigers today in a nine inning contest at Carpenter Complex on Roberts Field.


Pre-Game Transaction :


Catcher Cesar Mujica was promoted from the Dominican Academy to stateside extended spring training. Mujica is eighteen years old and was signed on 1/15/24 from Barquisimeto, Venezuela.  He played for the DSL Red team last summer and posted a .306 OBP in 160 plate appearances over 43 games with four doubles and nine RBIs - he stole nine bases in eleven attempts. Mujica can also play first base.


Tigers 2 Phillies 1


Scoring Summary :


The Tigers scored a first inning run on a single and double.  Three singles scored a run for them in the third inning.


Yhoan Escalona walked in the fifth inning, went to second on a ground out and scored on a double by Isaias Dipre.


At Bat : 1 R, 3 H, 4 BB, 2 K’s


Isaias Dipre doubled and posted an RBI. Jaeden Calderon and Angel Mata each singled.


On The Hill : 2 R, 9 H, 3 BB, 9 K’s


RH Wilmer Blanco - 3 IP, 2 R, 5 H, 0 BB, 4 K’s

RH Joel Heredia - 2 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 1 BB, 2 K’s

RH Naoel Mejia - 1 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 1 BB, 0 K’s

RH Orlando Gonzalez - 1 IP, 0 R, 2 H, 1 BB, 1 K
