4/7/25 : Extended Spring Training

The Player Development Center located at Carpenter Complex in Clearwater rarely has down time. Once one training session completes another soon begins. Now that Minor League Spring Training has concluded multiple players who didn’t get full season roster assignments have transitioned to Extended Spring Training which is a continuation of practices or rehab efforts to prepare for future league game play. Many of the players in Extended Spring Training will eventually play in the Florida Complex League which opens on May 3rd. Some of the players are awaiting an assignment as needs occur with a full-season affiliate.
The Phillies contingent has games scheduled against equivalent XST camps from the Yankees,Tigers and Blue Jays along with a few arbitrary games against touring Independent League teams and the Canadian national team.
