International League ( AAA ) - Lehigh Valley 9 (1-35-39) Durham 2 (0-1, 36-40)

Summary :


Buddy Kennedy homered in the first inning.


Kody Clemens homered in the sixth inning.


Aramis Garcia was hit by a pitch in the seventh, he stole second base and scored on a hard ground single to left center field by Johan Rojas.


Durham scored two runs in the seventh on a single and two doubles.


Ruben Cardenas hit a two run home run in the 8th inning.  Jim Haley singled, Aramis Garcia hit a two run home run. Nick Podkul was then hit by a pitch, it got Durham’s pitcher ejected by the umpire.  Johan Rojas walked. Buddy Kennedy singled.

Kody Clemens singled to score two runs.


At Bat : 9 R, 12 H, 3 BB, 9 K’s


Johan Rojas had two hits (singles), a walk, two stolen bases, an RBI and a sacrifice bunt.  Kody Clemens had three hits (two singles & HR - 3 RBIs).  Buddy Kennedy had two hits (single & HR). Ruben Cardenas hit a two run home run, Aramis Garcia also hit a two run home run.


On The Hill : 2 R, 9 H, 1 BB, 12 K’s


Kolby Allard pitched his best outing of the season - six shutout frames - 6.2 IP, 2 R, 7 H, 0 BB, 8 K’s - 85 pitches - 63 strikes.  Tyler Gilbert retired the only batter he faced - 2 pitches - 1 strike.  Michael Rucker pitched an inning - 0 R, 1 H, 0 BB, 2 K’s - 17 pitches - 12 strikes.  Nick Nelson finished - 1 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 1 BB, 2 K’s - 22 pitches - 14 strikes.

Summary :


Carlos De La Cruz singled in the first inning.  Carson Taylor hit a two run home run.


Robert Moore struck out but reached on a passed ball in the second inning.  He advanced to second when Bryce Ball walked. Moore was picked off but Ball advanced to second in the rundown.  Ethan Wilson singled to score Ball.


Marcus Lee Sang walked in the 3rd inning, Carlos De La Cruz was hit by a pitch.  Trevor Schwecke singled to score Lee Sang.


Carlos De La Cruz singled in the 5th, stole second and scored on a single by Carson Taylor.


Samuel Basallo homered for Bowie in the sixth inning. Ryan Higgins hit a two run home run for them in the seventh.


Caleb Ricketts homered in the seventh inning.


Trevor Schwecke singled in the 8th and scored on a home run by Robert Moore.


Matthew Etzel homered for Bowie in the ninth inning.


On The Hill : 4 R, 10 H, 1 BB, 7 K’s


Lachlan Wells pitched seven innings - 3 R, 8 H, 0 BB, 5 K’s - 87 pitches - 64 strikes.  Carlos Francisco pitched an inning - 0 R, 0 H, 1 BB, 1 K - 18 pitches - 9 strikes. Cristian Hernandez finished - 1 IP, 1 R, 1 H, 0 BB, 1 K - 14 pitches - 11 strikes.


At Bat : 8 R, 9 H, 3 BB, 12 K’s


Trevor Schwecke (two singles), Carlos De La Cruz (two singles) and Carson Taylor (single & HR - 3 RBIs) each had two hits.   

Caleb Ricketts and Robert Moore homered.

Much of the success came via control, as Reading pitchers issued just seven walks on the week. South Atlantic League ( High A )  - Greensboro 11 (3-1, 42-27) Jersey Shore 4 (2-2, 40-30)

Summary :


Jordan Dissin hit a towering home run to left field in the second inning.


A double, single (RBI), walk, single (RBI), stolen base and passed ball scored three Greensboro runs in the fourth inning.


Leandro Pineda was hit by a pitch in the fourth inning, went to second on a wild pitch and scored on a single by Emaarion Boyd.


Two walks, a throwing error (Benyony Robles) and a sacrifice fly scored a run for Greensboro in the 5th inning.  Another walk and another throwing error by Robles scored two more runs.


Erick Brito hit an inside the park home run in the sixth inning. He had to step around the catcher to touch the plate!


Hendry Mendez singled in the seventh, Jordan Dissin walked.  Troy Schreffler  singled to score a run.


Josiah Sightler homered for Greensboro in the 8th inning.


A walk, two singles, a throwing error and two run home run (Shawn Ross) scored four Greensboro runs in the ninth inning.


On The Hill : 11 R, 8 H, 10 BB, 13 K’s


Mitch Neunborn opened - 3.2 IP, 3 R - 2 earned, 3 H, 3 BB, 5 K’s - 68 pitches - 42 strikes.  Benyony Robles went 1.1 innings - 3 unearned R, 0 H, 3 BB, 2 K’s - 27 pitches - 12 strikes.  Dominic Pipkin pitched a scoreless inning - 0 H, 1 BB, 2 K’s - 21 pitches - 11 strikes - FB hit 98 mph 🔥.  Jack Dallas pitched an inning - 0 R, 1 H, 0 BB, 0 K’s - 13 pitches - 9 strikes. Mason Ronan went two innings - 5 R, 4 H, 3 BB, 4 K’s - 47 pitches - 26 strikes.


At Bat : 4 R, 7 H, 2 BB, 6 K’s


Erick Brito had two hits (single & HR).  Jordan Dissin homered.

Emaarion Boyd made a spectacular over the shoulder basket catch on Saturday in game two with the BlueClaws trailing 4-0 and a runner on base to end the 5th inning.  Then in the bottom of the sixth, he started a 4-run rally with a single.  Boyd had three hits and a grand slam last Sunday at Greensboro and is 15-49 since June 7th. - Media Notes


Florida State League ( Low A )  - Bradenton 9 (3-1, 32-38) Clearwater 7 (1-3, 44-26)

Summary :


Bradenton singled in the fifth on a single and double.


Devin Saltiban was hit by a pitch in the sixth inning and scored on a double by Jordan Viars.  Raylin Heredia singled to score Viars. Jared Thomas reached on a fielding error by the third baseman, Heredia scored.


Enmanuel Terrero homered for Bradenton in the seventh inning.


A walk, single and double scored a run for Bradenton in the eighth inning.


A walk, hit batter, fielding error, double, single, wild pitch, single and double scored six Bradenton runs in the 9th.


Dakota Kotowski and Diego Gonzalez walked to start the bottom of the ninth. A wild pitch moved them up a base. Pierce Bennett grounded out to score a run.  Devin Saltiban, Jordan Viars and Kehden Hettiger walked which scored a run. A.J. Shaversingled to score two runs.


On The Hill : 9 R, 12 H, 2 BB, 17 K’s


Mavis Graves was very strong once again - 5 IP, 1 R, 5 H, 0 BB, 10 K’s 👀 - 68 pitches - 49 strikes.  Paxton Thompson pitched two innings - 1 R, 1 H, 0 BB, 3 K’s - 31 pitches - 20 strikes.  Jonh Henriquez pitched an inning - 1 R, 2 H, 1 BB, 2 K’s - 27 pitches - 15 strikes.  Jonathan Petit faced seven batters but did not record an out - 6 R, 4 H, 1 BB - 26 pitches - 16 strikes. Josh Bortka retired all three batters he faced - 2 K’s - 11 pitches - 8 strikes.


At Bat : 7 R, 7 H, 8 BB, 9 K’s


Jordan Viars (single & double) and Raylin Heredia (two singles, walk) each had two hits. Ricardo Rosario doubled.

Summary :


Rickardo Perez homered to lead off the seventh inning.  Jerffson Peña tripled and scored on a single by Junior Marin.


Guillermo Rosario doubled to lead off the ninth, he scored on a single by Rickardo Perez.  Yemal Flores walked.  Perez advanced to third on a force out at second base and scored on a passed ball.  Junior Marin hit a two run home run. Starlyn Caba walked, Juan Villavicencio hit a two run home run.


On The Hill : 0 R, 4 H, 1 BB, 8 K’s


Wilmer Blanco pitched five innings - 0 R, 3 H, 1 BB, 6 K’s.  Luis Gonzalez went four innings - 0 R, 1 H, 0 BB, 2 K’s.


At Bat : 8 R, 13 H, 3 BB, 8 K’s


Six Phillies had two hits each : Starlyn Caba (two singles & walk), Juan Villavicencio (single & HR), Eduardo Tait (two singles), Rickardo Perez (single & HR - 2 RBIs, 2 runs scored), Jerffson Peña (single & triple, two runs scored) and Junior Marin (single, HR and walk - 3 RBIs).  Guillermo Rosario doubled.


Dominican Summer League - Phillies White 5 (6-10) Phillies Red 3 (4-12) - seven innings

Summary :


Team White scored a run in the second inning - Jorge Julio tripled and scored on a sacrifice fly by Yhoan Escalona.


Santiago Prado doubled for White in the fifth inning and scored on a double by Jose Familia.  Jaeden Calderon singled to score Familia.


Jorge Julio doubled for Team White in the 6th inning, Yhoan Escalona walked.  Julio scored later on a sacrifice fly by Santiago Prado and Escolona scored on a single by Denilson Aguila.


Three walks loaded the bases for Team Red in the seventh inning - three runs scored on a double by Joseph Diaz.


On The Hill :


Team Red :


Eligio Arias pitched 4.1 innings - 3 R, 5 H, 1 BB, 3 K’s.  Fernando Ramos went 2.2 innings - 2 R, 5 H, 1 BB, 4 K’s


Team White :


Joel Hernandez pitched 6 innings - 0 R, 1 H, 0 BB, 3 K’s.  Gelson Carpio went an inning - 3 R, 1 H, 3 BB, 1 K.
