Big South Sports : “Dragoo emerged as one of the nation's standout batters this season, achieving a remarkable feat by setting the program's Division I single-season record with 18 home runs and 67 RBIs. His outstanding performance earned him the title of Big South Player of the Year, leading the league with a .401 batting average, .797 slugging percentage, and .508 on-base percentage. Additionally, Dragoo was recognized as a First Team All-Big South player and received four Big South Player of the Week honors. More recently, Dragoo earned a spot on the NCBWA All-America roster which hadn't been done by a player at PC since 2011.
Outside of baseball, Dragoo excels academically, having earned placement on the Dean's List three times and the President's List in the Fall of 2022 and 2023. Throughout his career at PC, he has consistently been named to the Big South Presidential Honor Roll.
Playing in all 56 games for PC, Dragoo topped the conference with a .401 batting average (16th nationally), a .797 slugging percentage, a .508 on-base percentage, and seven sacrifice flies. He was also second in hits (79), RBIs (67), doubles (20), and walks (43).
Dragoo's outstanding season established new DI single-season program records for home runs (18) and RBIs (67). He also scored 58 runs, hit two triples, and successfully stole 11 bases out of 13 attempts. In the second half of the season, Dragoo enjoyed a remarkable 22-game hitting streak, contributing to sweeps over Radford, Winthrop, and Charleston Southern. On defense, he maintained a .993 fielding percentage in center field, recording 143 putouts and five assists out of 149 chances.
During conference play, the junior posted a .398 batting average, accumulating 35 hits, 26 runs, 25 RBIs, 19 walks, 10 doubles, and six home runs. His on-base percentage was .505, and he successfully stole seven bases in nine attempts.”
