Bryce Harper hammered a three run first inning home run into the right field seats scoring Adam Haseley ( singled ) and Rhys Hoskins ( doubled ) in front of him. Jay Bruce tripled off the left center field wall cutout to scored Jean Segura ( singled ) to give the Phillies a 4-0 lead.
Jesus Aguilar went yard to lead off the second inning against Vince Velasquez for Miami. Miguel Rojas tied the game for the Marlins with a three run home run scoring Brian Anderson ( HBP ) and Isan Diaz ( singled ).
Adam Haseley doubled off the left field wall in the third inning, went to third on a wild pitch and scored on a throwing error by Miami catcher Francisco Cervelli.
Vince Velasquez went three innings ... 4 R, 4 H, 2 BB, 4 K’s ... 60 pitches - 36 strikes

According to reports the Marlins had three players test positive for illness before the game including Jose Urena who would have been the starting pitcher. They were deemed ineligible to play in today’s game.
