International League ( AAA ) - Rochester 10 (15-10, 53-45) Lehigh Valley 6 (16-9,50-48)

Summary :


Cal Stevenson walked to lead off the game, Buddy Kennedy singled to send him to third base.  Stevenson scored when Rafael Marchan grounded into a 4-6-3 double play.  Darick Hall walked, Scott Kingery singled.  Kody Clemens singled to score Hall.


Travis Blankenhorn hit a two run home run for Rochester in the bottom of the first inning.


Jim Haley singled in the second inning, Cal Stevenson walked, Haley went to third on a wild pitch and scored on a sacrifice fly by Buddy Kennedy.


Two doubles and a single scored two runs for Rochester in the third inning.


Travis Blankenhorn homered in the fifth inning.


Kody Clemens tripled in the 6th inning, he scored when Carlos De La Cruz reached on a fielding error by the center fielder.


Rochester scored three runs in the seventh inning on a home run by Joey Meneses.  They scored two in the 8th on a walk and three singles.


Rafael Marchan walked in the ninth and scored on a home run by Darick Hall.


At Bat : 6 R, 7 H, 7 BB, 7 K’s


Kody Clemens had two hits (single & triple).  Darick Hall homered, walked and posted two RBIs. Cal Stevenson walked twice.


On The Hill : 10 R, 13 H, 5 BB, 10 K’s


Nick Nelson opened - 3 IP, 4 R, 6 H, 0 BB, 4 K’s - 56 pitches - 38 strikes.  Max Castillo pitched three innings - 1 R, 2 H, 3 BB, 3 K’s - 58 pitches - 33 strikes.  Max Lazar pitched an inning - 3 R, 2 H, 1 BB, 1 K - 24 pitches - 9 strikes.  Ricardo Pinto pitched an inning - 2 R, 3 H, 1 BB, 2 K’s - 37 pitches - 23 strikes.

Summary :


Josh Breaux and Trevor Schwecke each homered in the second inning.


A walk, single, double and single scored three runs for New Hampshire in the third inning.


New Hampshire scored four runs in the 8th inning on two walks, two singles and a double.


Kendall Simmons doubled in the ninth inning, advanced on a fly out and scored on a ground out.


On The Hill : 7 R, 8 H, 4 BB, 11 K’s


Sam Aldegheri pitched five innings - 3 R, 5 H, 2 BB, 6 K’s - 92 pitches - 60 strikes.  Andrew Walling pitched two perfect innings - 4 K’s - 24 pitches - 17 strikes.   Andrew Baker pitched 1/3 of an inning - 3 R, 1 H, 2 BB, 0 K’s - 18 pitches - 7 strikes.  Daniel Harper pitched 2/3 of an inning, 1 R, 2 H, 0 BB, 1 K - 18 pitches - 14 strikes - three inherited runners scored.

Reading stole nine bases in Tuesday night’s win at New Hampshire, marking the most stolen bags in a game, dating back to the 2005 season. The Fightin Phils now sit at 101 stolen bases on the season, which puts them on pace for 150 this season. In 2023, Reading stole just 119 bases for the season. Sine the conclusion of the All-Star Break on July 19, Reading is tied with Portland for the most stolen bases in the Eastern League at 16. Five have come from Justin Crawford. - Media Notes

Summary :


Aidan Miller and Andrick Nava walked in the first inning.  Miller scored on a single by Felix Reyes.


A walk and two singles scored a run for Aberdeen in the second inning.


Pierce Bennett walked in the second inning and scored on a double by Jordan Dissin.  William Bergolla doubled to score Dissin.


A double, sacrifice bunt and passed ball scored a run for Aberdeen in the third inning.


Jordan Dissin walked in the 4th inning, William Bergolla singled.  Aidan Miller reached on an error.  Hendry Mendez grounded out to score Dissin.


Aberdeen scored a run in the seventh inning on two walks and a single.


Andrick Nava doubled in the 7th inning, Felix Reyes singled.  Nava scored on a ground out by Zach Arnold.


Troy Schreffler singled in the 8th inning, stole second and scored on a double by Hendry Mendez.


Aberdeen scored twice in the ninth on a hit batter, single, wild pitch and double.


On The Hill : 5 R, 7 H, 5 BB, 12 K’s


Mitch Neunborn pitched 6.1 innings - 3 R - 2 earned, 3 H, 3 BB, 8 K’s - 93 pitches - 61 strikes.  Mason Ronan pitched 2/3 of an inning - 0 R, 1 H, 1 BB, 1 K - 16 pitches - 7 strikes - 1 inherited runner scored.  Jaydenn Estanista pitched two innings - 2 R, 3 H, 1 BB, 3 K’s.

Felix Reyes had three hits (singles).  William Bergolla had two hits (single & double).  Hendry Mendez and Jordan Dissin doubled.


Defensive Gem :


First baseman Felix Reyes made a catch done the right field line in the eighth inning for the second out and then whirled and threw a strike to catcher Jordan Dissin to nail the runner attempting to tag and score from third for an inning ending double play! Props to the big fella for his athleticism 👀🔥.

Summary :


Devin Saltiban singled in the fourth inning and stole second, he advanced to third on a wild pitch.  Tjayy Walton walked.  Walton and Saltiban executed a double steal with Saltiban scoring.  Walton then stole third and scored on a throwing error by Tampa’s catcher.


Tampa scored five runs in the 5th inning on two walks, three singles and a sacrifice fly.


Tjayy Walton and Eduardo Tait singled in the 6th inning, they scored on a home run by Raylin Heredia.


A walk, two stolen bases and a ground out manufactured a run for Tampa in the bottom of the sixth.


Diego Gonzalez singled and went to third on a single by Jared Thomas. A wild pitch scored Gonzalez.


Tampa scored a run in the 8th on a walk, stolen base and single.


On The Hill : 7 R, 6 H, 6 BB, 9 K’s


Micah Ottenbreit pitched 4.1 innings - 4 R, 4 H, 3 BB, 5 K’s - 88 pitches - 46 strikes.  Jose Peña Jr pitched 1.2 innings - 2 R - 1 earned, 1 H, 2 BB, 0 K’s - 23 pitches - 13 strikes.  Luis Avila pitched two innings - 1 R, 1 H, 1 BB, 4 K’s - 32 pitches - 20 strikes.

Summary :


Victor Cardozo homered in the first inning.


The Giants scored in the bottom of the first on a double and single.


Cesar Mujica reached on a fielding error in the second inning, Joseph Diaz singled. Leny Carela singled to score a run.  A wild pitch scored a run. Yonkelvin Polanco hit a sacrifice fly to score a run.


A walk and triple scored a run for the Giants in the fourth inning.


Victor Cardozo doubled in the 7th and scored on a single by Meylin De Leon.


Victor Cardozo reached on a fielder’s choice  in the 8th inning, stole second and scored on a single by Maylerson Casanova.


Two walks, a single, sacrifice fly and ground out scored two Giants runs in the ninth.


On The Hill :  5 R, 8 H, 10 BB, 7 K’s


Brad Pacheco pitched three innings - 2 R, 3 H, 1 BB, 4 K’s. Henry Ramirez pitched an inning - 1 R, 0 H, 4 BB, 0 K’s. Fernando Ramos pitched three innings - 0 R, 3 H, 1 BB, 1 K.  Rene Yrish went an inning - 2 R, 2 H, 3 BB, 2 K’s.  Naoel Mejia pitched an inning - 0 R, 0 H, 1 BB, 0 K’s.

Leny Carela had three hits (two singles & double).  Victor Cardozo doubled and homered, scored three runs.


Dominican Summer League - Phillies White 9 (17-21) Nationals 8 (14-22) - eleven innings

Phillies Complex


Summary :


The Phillies loaded the bases with walks in the first inning, Francisco Loreto singled to score two runs.


The Nationals scored a run in the second on two walks, a wild pitch and stolen base.


Isaac Ramirez reached base on a fielders choice in the bottom of the second, stole second and third and scored on a single by Jaedon Calderon.


A single and double scored a Nationals run in the third. A walk, hit batter and throwing error scored a run in the fourth.


Cristobal Bena singled in the bottom of the fourth, went to third on a throwing error and scored on a sacrifice fly by Jose Familia.


Jaedon Calderon walked in the 5th, Josueth Quinonez doubled. Francisco Loreto was hit by a pitch. Yhoan Escalona was hit by a pitch to score a run.  Andres Hernandez grounded out to score a run.


The Nationals scored three runs in the sixth on two singles, a wild pitch, fielders choice and two more wild pitches.


The game went into extra innings.


In the top of the 11th a sacrifice bunt, walk, hit batter and three wild pitches scored two Nationals runs.


Andres Hernandez doubled in the bottom of the 11th to score placed runner Yhoan Escalona. Cristobal Bena singled, Jose Familia walked.  Jaedon Calderon walked to score a run.   Josueth Quinonez hit a sacrifice fly for the game winning walk off run!


On The Hill :  8 R, 6 H, 7 BB, 6 K’s


Eduardo Robles pitched two innings - 1 R, 1 H, 2 HB, 2 BB, 0 K’s.  Jeffrey German pitched three innings - 2 R - 1 earned, 2 H, 1 HB, 2 BB, 1 K. Gelson Carpio pitched three innings - 3 R - 2 earned, 3 H, 1 BB, 1 K. Enderson Jean pitched three innings - 2 R - 1 earned, 0 H, 1 HB, 2 BB, 4 K’s.

Andres Hernandez and Josueth Quinonez doubled. Jose Familia walked three times, Jaedon Calderon singled, walked three times and had two RBIs.  Francisco Loreto had two RBIs.
