JT Realmuto hit a two run home run in the bottom of the fourth scoring Bryce Harper ( doubled ) in front of him.
Baltimore loaded the bases in the fifth inning against Jake Arrieta on three consecutive singles. Pat Valaika then hit a hard grounder up the middle that second baseman Jean Segura made a diving stop on behind the bag and flipped to second base where Didi Gregorius attempted to turn the double play. Valaika beat the throw to first base while a run scored ... outstanding play by Segura ! Hanser Alberto then walked to re load the bases. With two outs in the inning Danny Santander cleared them all with a double.
That was it for Arrieta as Jose Alvarez came in to get the final out of the frame.
In all three games in the series the Phillies got an early lead but could not hold it 🤷♂️.

Jose Iglesias doubled to score two more runs in the seventh inning for Baltimore ... they were clearly the better baseball team in the series ... relentless attack and confidence ... basically put a tail whooping on our boys.

Austin Davis got the last out of the seventh inning but gave up two hits to start the eighth and was lifted. Connor Brogdon’s first delivery was hit over the wall by Pedro Severino for a home run.

Web Gems :
Roman Quinn threw out Rio Ruiz attempting to go from first to third on a single to center field in the sixth inning. He tossed a perfect one hop throw to Alec Bohm at third base to nail Ruiz ... 90 MPH on the throw 💪.
Other Notes
I get very depressed when the Phillies lose ... I’m gonna stop writing game recaps for a bit to see if it changes their luck ... have a good night for those who read this ... losing pretty much sucks.
