Jacob deGrom went five innings ( 2 R, 7 H, 2 BB, 6 K’s ) despite battling a finger blister issue to record his second win. Four NY relievers ( Jared Hughes, Dellin Betances, Edwin Diaz and Seth Lugo ) tossed two hit baseball the balance of the game with Lugo picking up his third save.
Andres Gimenez had three hits and scored three runs for the Mets. JD Davis extended his hitting streak to thirteen games.
Eddy Alvarez had three hits for Miami and Jesus Aguilar had two hits including a home run. Jonathan Villar and Monte Harrison each wore the golden sombrero for the Marlins as they both struck out four times.
Rays 4 ( 8-8 ) Yankees 3 ( 10-6 )
Michael Perez singled with two outs in the bottom of the ninth to score Brandon Lowe with the game winning run in the walk off victory for the Rays.
Rays starts Charlie Morton was taken out in the 3rd inning due to right shoulder inflammation. He gave up a run on three hits and two walks in two innings of work.
Trevor Richards worked four innings behind him giving up just two unearned runs, Ex Phillie John Curtiss tossed two perfect innings striking out four batters. Ryan Thompson pitched a perfect ninth inning for the win.
Mike Brosseau had two hits for Tampa including a home run and Brandon Lowe homered.
James Paxton struck out eleven batters in 6 1/3 IP for the Yankees yielding three runs on four hits. DJ LeMahieu had two hits for New York.
Tigers 2 ( 8-5 ) Pirates 1 ( 3-13 )
Detroit’s Spencer Turnbull went seven innings ( 1 R, 5 H, 2 BB, 4 K’s ) to post the win. Buck Farmer and Joe Jimenez pitched an inning each in relief. Austin Romine had two hits and an RBI.
Pittsburgh had six hits in the game ... two each for Adam Frazier and Erik Gonzalez.
Red Sox 5 ( 6-9 ) Jays 3 ( 5-8 )
Boston’s Mitch Moreland hit two home runs including a walkoff two run game winner in the ninth inning. Rafael Devers also homered ... the Red Sox had only four hits in the game but made them count.
Nathan Eovaldi struck out ten batters in five innings and three relievers pitched shutout baseball thereafter with Matt Barnes getting the win.
Lourdes Gurriel Jr had two hits for the Jays. Cavan Biggio and Bo Bichette each hit solo home runs.
Orioles 5 Nationals 2 - game suspended - fifth inning due to weather
The grounds crew couldn’t get the tarp untangled which allowed the field to become unplayable during what would have been a rain delay. Instead the game will resume Friday when the two teams will play in Baltimore.

Royals 4 ( 7-10 ) Twins 2 ( 10-6 )
KC’s Brady Singer picked up his first major league win by pitching five innings ( 2 R, 5 H, 2 BB, 4 K’s ) and three relievers pitched shutout two hit baseball behind him with Scott Barlow earning the save.
Maikel Franco hit his fourth home run of the season for Royals and Jorge Soler had two hits.
Nelson Cruz had two hits for the Twins.
Brewers 9 ( 6-7 ) Reds 3 ( 7-9 )
The Brewers Keston Hiura had three hits ( including a HR ), scored twice and had two RBIs. Justin Smoak had three hits and two RBIs while Christian Yelich had two hits including his fourth home run and a triple.
Jesse Winker hit a home run and double and had three of the Reds eight hits in the game.
Rangers 7 ( 6-8 ) Angels 3 ( 5-11 )
The Ranger’s Lance Lynn pitched five innings ( 2 R, 4 H, 3 BB, 6 K’s ) to record his second win of the season and 100th in his career. Elvis Andrus and Nick Solak each had two hits while Shin-Soo Choo had two RBIs.
Tommy La Stella homered for the Angels and Shohei Ohtani had two hits.
A’s 7 ( 12-4 ) Astros 2 ( 6-9 )
A bench clearing incident in the seventh inning occurred when A’s center fielder Ramon Laureano took exception with being hit by a pitch and charged the Astro’s bench in pursuit of coach Alex Cintron who seemed to be challenging him ... penalties are sure to ensue.
Robbie Grossman, Matt Olson and Matt Chapman all homered for the A’s ... Grossman and Olson had two hits apiece. Jesus Luzardo pitched 5 2/3 innings ( 2 R, 5 H, 2 BB, 5 K’s ) for the win.
Josh Reddick and Yuli Gurriel had two hits each ... Gurriel homered.
Padres 9 ( 9-7 ) Diamondbacks 5 ( 6-10 )
San Diego hit six home runs ( Manny Machado - 2, Fernando Tatis Jr, Wil Myers, Ty France and Francisco Mejia ) to power their way to victory. Dinelson Lamet struck out eleven batters over 6 2/3 innings allowing just one hit and one walk for the win.
Madison Bumgarner continues to struggle for Arizona going just two innings and getting tagged for four of the home runs - six runs in total on five hits.
Cole Calhoun, Nick Ahmed and Andy Young homered for Arizona.
Mariners 5 ( 6-11 ) Rockies 3 ( 11-4 )
The Mariner’s Justus Sheffield pitched six shutout innings allowing four hits and no walks while punching out seven to earn the win. Taylor Williams went 1 1/3 scoreless at the end for his third save. Dylan Moore hit a two run home run for Seattle.
Charlie Blackmon extended his hitting streak to thirteen games with two hits. David Dahl also had two knocks. German Marquez was the hard luck loser as he pitched well - 7 IP, 5 R - 2 earned, 6 H, 1 BB, 2 K’s
Dodgers 6 ( 11-5 ) Giants 2 ( 7-10 )
The Dodger’s AJ Pollock and Mookie Betts each hit three run home runs ... Pollock in the seventh inning and Betts in the eighth. Five Dodger hurlers pitched in the game with reliever Jake McGee earning the win with a perfect inning pitched.
The Giants were limited to just two hits and four walks ... Kevin Gausman pitched well going 6 1/3 innings ( 1 R, 3 H, 0 BB, 6 K’s ) ... the righty was in the upper nineties his entire outing 🔥
Indians 5 ( 10-7 ) White Sox 4 (8-8 )- 10 innings
The Indians Delino DeShields laid down a squeeze bunt to score a run in the top of the tenth ... the history making bunt was the first time it’s been done to score the placed runner in extra innings.
Cleveland’s Shane Bieber pitched six innings ( 3 R, 4 H, 2 BB, 8 K’s ) ... Cesar Hernandez had two hits for the Indians. Mike Freeman had two hits including an RBI single in the top of the tenth inning. Carlos Santana had a hit and three walks.
Chicago’s Lucas Giolito went seven innings ( 2 R, 4 H, 5 BB, 9 K’s ) ... James McCann had two hits and hit a solo home run. Jose Abreu also homered.
The game went into a rain delay with one out in the bottom of the tenth inning that lasted 46 minutes. When play resumed the Indians brought in veteran Oliver Perez for the final two outs ... he also made history by becoming the third oldest player in the Indians history to record a save behind Doug Jones and Lefty Steve Carlton.
Note : Indians pitcher Zach Plesac was sent home to Cleveland after going out with friends in Chicago on Saturday night in violation of team rules and league’s health and safety policies.
