RH Moises Chase - Reading/Jersey Shore - 21 years old - acquired in trade with Orioles 7/30/24 - is from La Guaira, Venezuela - in five starts between Jersey Shore and Reading (24.1 IP) had 42 K’s, a 2.59 ERA, .159 BAA and 0.86 WHIP - was promoted to Reading on 8/13/24 and made three starts - 15.2 IP, 29 K’s, 5 BB and a 1.72 ERA.
RH Eiberson Castellano - Reading - 23 years old - signed as an international free agent 7/2/18 from Maracaibo, Venezuela. - in four starts had a 1.64 ERA (22 IP) with 32 K’s and just 5 walks. Batters hit just .162 against him and his WHIP was 0.82. He has followed up a strong July where he earned the system’s pitcher of the month award with an even better month of August.
