Summary :


A fielding error, double and single led to an Erie run in the first inning.


Erie scored four runs in the third inning - three on a home run by Corey Joyce.


Ben Malgeri homered for Erie in the fourth inning.  A double and single scored a run.


Zach Arnold singled in the fifth inning and scored on a home run by Cade Fergus.


Erick Brito was hit by a pitch in the sixth inning, he went to third on a single by Aidan Miller and scored on a sacrifice fly by Ethan Wilson.


Two hit batters and three  singles scored two runs for Erie in the 8th inning.


On The Hill : 9 R, 16 H, 2 BB, 10 K’s


Moises Chase pitched four innings - 7 R - 5 earned, 7 H, 2 BB, 6 K’s - 80 pitches - 51 strikes.  Nelson Alvarez pitched two innings - 0 R, 3 H, 0 BB, 1 K - 37 pitches - 24 strikes.  Wesley Moore pitched an inning -  0 R, 1 H, 0 BB, 2 K’s - 21 pitches - 12 strikes.  Andrew Walling pitched an inning - 2 R, 3 H, 2 HB, 0 BB, 0 K’s - 27 pitches - 17 strikes.  Cristian Hernandez pitched an inning - 0 R, 2 H, 0 BB, 1 K - 18 pitches - 12 strikes.


At Bat : 3 R, 6 H, 0 BB, 8 K’s


Cade Fergus had two hits (double & HR, two RBIs).  Gabriel Rincones Jr doubled.

Following Wednesday night’s win, the Fightin Phils were 35-31 at FirstEnergy Stadium this season. After Wednesday night, Reading clinched a winning record at home for the first time since going 36-33 in 2022. This comes after the R-Phils posted a 23-44 record at home last season. - Media Notes

Summary :


Pierce Bennett singled in the second inning, moved to second on a wild pitch and scored on a single by Felix Reyes.  Reyes went to second on a throwing error and scored on a single by Luis Caicuto.


Jalen Vasquez hit a two run home run for Aberdeen in the third inning.  A triple and ground out scored another run.


Jordan Viars homered in the fourth inning.


A double and single scored a run for Aberdeen in the fifth inning.


Jordan Viars and Felix Reyes singled in the sixth inning. Luis Caicuto singled to score Viars.


Hendry Mendez hit a three run home run in the ninth inning.


On The Hill : 4 R, 6 H,  6 BB, 11 K’s


Mitch Neunborn pitched five innings - 4 R, 6 H, 1 BB, 8 K’s - 79 pitches - 55 strikes.  Trey Dillard pitched two innings - 0 R, 0 H, 2 BB, 2 K’s - 32 pitches - 18 strikes.  Gunner Mayer pitched two scoreless innings - 0 H, 3 BB, 1 K - 30 pitches - 13 strikes.


At Bat : 7 R, 10 H, 3 BB, 12 K’s


Felix Reyes had three hits (singles), scored a run and had an RBI.  Jordan Viars (single & HR, two runs scored, RBI), Luis Caicuto (two singles, two RBIs, walk) and Hendry Mendez (single, HR, 3 RBIs) each had two hits.

Keaton Anthony, who had four hits in his final BlueClaws game on Thursday, was promoted to Reading on Friday along with Jordan Dissin. Anthony finished his BlueClaws career at .356 after arriving on June 26th from Clearwater. He added four home runs and 45 RBIs in 205 at bats and 53 games played. Dissin led the BlueClaws with nine home runs and was second in the league in throwing out 32 potential base-stealers defensively. - Media Notes

Summary :


A single, walk, passed ball and single scored two runs for St Lucie in the sixth inning, they had been no-hit thru five frames.


Brady Day singled in the seventh inning, Kodey Shojinaga walked.  Avery Owusu-Asiedu singled.   Starlyn Caba hit a sacrifice fly to score a run. Carter Mathison walked.  Carson DeMartini walked to score a run. Joel Dragoo was hit by pitch to score a run.


On The Hill : 2 R, 5 H, 6 BB, 14 K’s


Orlando Gonzalez pitched three innings - 0 R, 0 H, 1 HB, 1 BB, 5 K’s - 48 pitches - 27 strikes.  Luis Avila pitched 1.1 innings - 0 R, 0 H, 2 HB, 1 BB, 3 K’s.  Juan Amarante pitched 2.2 innings - 2 R - 1 earned, 3 H, 2 BB, 5 K’s - 53 pitches - 30 strikes. Jonh Henriquez pitched an inning - 0 R, 1 H, 2 BB, 1 K - 23 pitches - 11 strikes.  Kleyderve Andrade closed - 1 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 0 BB, 0 K’s - 9 pitches - 5 strikes.

Starlyn Caba doubled, walked and posted an RBI.

Lehigh Valley : C Josh Breaux and 3B Otto Kemp transferred to Lehigh Valley from Reading.

INF Buddy Kennedy has been recalled (to Philadelphia). RHP Michael Rucker (designated for assignment on 9/4) has been claimed off waivers by the Washington Nationals.


Reading : 1B Keaton Anthony and C Jordan Dissin transferred from Jersey Shore. C Caleb Ricketts placed on the 7-day IL (retroactive to 9/5).


Jersey Shore : RHP Mitch Neunborn reinstated from the Development List.   IF Diego Gonzalez transferred to Jersey Shore from Lehigh Valley.
