Today at the Complex :

Stopped by to watch batting practice for the new signees - held on Roberts Field.  Jordan Dissin, Ezra Farmer, Ty Penner & Matt Alifano were the BP standouts for me today.  Both Dissin and Farmer have short and quick swings - Farmer looks like he could be a line drive machine although he did lift a few with some authority as well.  Dissin looks like he’s got easy power, compact and thru the ball - drove a couple beyond the left field fence but also hit some hard liners.  Penner has a pretty left handed swing - put quite a few at the fence and some beyond in right field.  Alifano has pop - looks strong and has a powerful swing.  Troy Schreffler also impressed with bat to ball skills - hit a lot of baseballs hard.

RHP Alex McFarlane signed yesterday and was on the field today joining the pitchers as they went thru some PFP ( pitcher fielding practice ) drills.

We introduced ourselves to infielder Otto Kemp today - he anticipated he would sign his formal contract in the afternoon.

Our photographer buddy Mark Wylie was at the complex yesterday and took lots of photos of the new players - once he’s edited them and sends to me I will post on the website.  Mark takes care of the player requests first, he’s a good fella and is an asset to the players and families that perhaps even the organization itself isn’t aware of - as they say a picture is worth a thousand words, Mark’s photos bridge the “how ya doing” gap for the players to their families and friends - just sayin 🤓.

Happy Day, Happy Baseball ⚾️
